Black and white prints are often misunderstood as the simpler version of their colourful peers. Yet this is not the case. Monochromatic prints come in a myriad of styles and techniques far beyond the ‘mono’ that their name suggests. In this months Curator’s Choice exhibition we’re celebrating the diversity of black and white prints; curated alongside each other, in contrast, each print included in this exhibition is testament to the creative scope of monochromatic prints.
Beyond its aesthetic focus, this exhibition gathers together key pieces to help guide collectors old and new. Featuring artists David Frazer, Chris Ingham, Kyoko Imazu, Martin King, Kirpy, Milan Milojevic, Clayton Tremlett and Wayne Viney, our October’s Curator’s Choice provides a snapshot of the best of contemporary printmaking.
