Debra Luccio is an award-winning artist whose work is represented in collections nationally and internationally including the New York Public Library Collection, the State Library of Victoria, Charles Sturt University and the St Vincent’s Art Collection. She has held 16 major solo exhibitions and been included in more than 60 group, curated and award shows.
Awarded the prestigious CPM National Print Award in 2009, Debra Luccio has also been shortlisted for many other awards including the 2012 Shirley Hannan $50,000 National Portrait Prize, the Hutchins Award and the Swan Hill Print and Drawing Award.
In 2010 Debra Luccio was invited to exhibit a major solo exhibition at the Australian Consulate General in New York City. In 2011 she exhibited her monotypes at the Printmaking Centre of New Jersey.
As part of her practice, Debra Luccio has attended rehearsals and created artworks of dance companies including the New York City Ballet, Tiffany Mills Company and Rebecca Kelly Ballet in NYC and the Queensland Ballet in Australia. Since 2011 she has been drawing in classes and rehearsals and creating artwork of The Australian Ballet.
Luccio has completed study trips in New York, Paris and Italy. She has guest lectured throughout Australia, including at the National Gallery of Victoria, and in the USA at the Art Students League of New York and the Printmaking Centre of New Jersey.
